Pinheiro Neto Advogados is the Brazilian firm mentioned as a leader in most areas of Business Law in the guide Transactions & Deals: International Corporate Finance , from the international publication Leaders League .


The edition focuses on the best national law firms in nine fields of Business Law: Large mergers and acquisitions and international transactions ; Corporate Law and mergers and acquisitions ; Capital market – equity and debt securities ; Private equity ; Banking and finance ; Bankruptcy and insolvency ; Antitrust ; and corporate tax consultancy and litigation .

Within each of these areas, the publication B2B Lead classifies the best firms at different levels: leader; great; highly recommended, recommended, good practice, active practice.

To reach these results, Leaders League considers the reputation of the offices in the market; the size of the teams and the expertise of their members; volume, type and quality of operations carried out by banks; diversity and internationalization of the customer base; expansion of sectors and revenue.

Pinheiro Neto was considered a leader in all nine areas. In second place came Mattos Filho, Veiga Filho, Marrey Jr. and Quiroga Advogados , with seven mentions at the top. Machado , Meyer, Sendacz e Opice Advogados came in third, with five citations as leader. Then, a triple tie: Barbosa, Müssnich & Aragão, Lefosse Advogados and Cescon Barrieu Advogados (formerly Souza, Cescon, Barrieu & Flesch Advogados) had three nominations in the highest position.

Leaders League manager in Brazil, Thomas Di Benedetto , highlights Veirano Advogados ' rise to the top in large-scale mergers and acquisitions. Furthermore, he highlights the growth of the Rio de Janeiro firm Vieira Rezende in the corporate area – in general, dominated by firms from São Paulo.



In tax, Di Benedetto points out that, in litigation, specialized boutiques compete for the market with full-service firms , but the latter prevail in consultancy. The publication manager also cites the prevalence of firms on the Rio-São Paulo axis. Based in Belo Horizonte, Sacha Calmon – Misabel Derzi Consultores e Advogados is one of the only firms from outside these states to appear at the top of the ranking.
